Obituary
Lisa Hester Shumake, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away on December 5th 2015 at the age of 57. Lisa was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Robert Hester and Ruby Beutler on May 19th 1958. She grew up with her family in Shreveport before calling the North Dallas area her home. Lisa spent her life serving those around her in as many ways as she could. In her lifetime she was a nurturing mother, a nanny, a volunteer for her church in a variety of roles, a tutor and an assistant for special needs students at Lewisville Independent School District’s Prairie Trail Elementary School. She had a gift for guidance and for loving on others. Lisa was a mother of two but was seen as a mother by countless. She will be remembered as a woman capable of unconditional love and as an instant friend to everyone she met. Lisa Hester Shumake is survived by her mother, Ruby Beutler, her father, Robert Hester, her children, Robert “Tanner” Shumake and Hannah Shumake, her grandchildren, Gage Chapman and Tate Shumake, her siblings, Robert Hester II (Rita), Paula Bigley (Thorn), and Judy, her nieces and nephews, Rayle Hester, Carter Hester, Samantha Adams and Sean Adams, her mother-in-law, Pat “Gurnie” Mayfield, as well as Shane Shumake, the father of her children and close friend, along with an endless list of cherished extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 12th 2015 at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship 4141 International Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75007 in the Treehouse.
