Hutchins, Dale G.
Obituary
Dale Hutchins was born on July 26, 1951, in Seattle, Washington and died in Plano, Texas, on December 15, 2015. Dale felt that the luckiest day of his life was the day he was adopted by Donald and Katherine Hutchins. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Hutchins, his children, Jason Hutchins and daughter Kristine Hutchins, steps son John Civitello and Matthew Civitello, father, Donald Hutchins, and sister, Jan Monaghan, grandchildren Esmee McFadden, Emma McFadden, Abby Web and Brennen Hutchins. Dale had a Bachelor of Nursing degree and had retired after working for many years in health care administration. He also earned the distinction of being certified by the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Dale was a lover of life and a nurturer of all living things and was a Master Naturalist for Collin County. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, scuba diving, boating and camping. Dale was an accomplished musician and excelled at the keyboard, piano and guitar. Dale was a great cook and considered himself a foodie. He was a Certified Kansas City Barbeque Judge and was an avid collector of hot sauces from all over the world, and his collection numbered into the 200’s. Dale loved adventure and enjoyed recounting that, at age16, he hitchhiked the entire length of Route 66. This love of adventure continued into his adult years and he earned the certification as a rescue scuba diver. Dale battled a serious illness this past year and was treated at UTSW.
