Bumblis, Roberta A.
Obituary
Roberta A. Bumblis, Age 88. Born February 9, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. Our Mother went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She graduated from Chagrin Falls High School in 1945 and retired from Kroger after many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert G. Bumblis, her parents Edwin and Edith Lander and her sister Patricia L. Lumme. She is survived by all her children. Susan Biltz, Patricia McCurley (husband Johnny), Robert Bumblis (wife Michelle), Terry Bumblis (Carol), Steve Bumblis (Cindy), and Marcia Simpkins (Jose). She raised 6 children, has 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was a woman who loved to laugh. She laughed all the time. It was infectious! She was always being silly and sticking her tongue out to get her point across. She was a woman who loved her family and was so proud of them no matter what. She gave good advice and loved to share stories. She crocheted beautiful things for everyone. She was so smart she knew all the answers on Jeopardy and her daily crossword puzzles. We know she is out of pain now and rejoicing with her family and friends that have gone before her. We will forever hold her close in our mind and spirit. Psalm 23:4 Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. Roberta requested not to have a funeral or a viewing. She wanted her family and friends to celebrate her life by spreading her ashes by the causeway in Florida. All her children will be honoring her request at a later date. So in lieu of flowers, we ask that you hug a family member and tell them how much you love them! I have so many memories of Mrs B She was such a wonderful lady. She will be missed by many.
Growing up, Aunt Bobbie and her Mother, Granny Landers were like legends. I remember being so excited every time I received a birthday card from her. The few phone conversations I was able to have with her, and the few times that I was able to see her in person are cherished. What a beautiful woman inside and out! * much love*
