Miranda, Amelia Acosta
Obituary
A Funeral service for Amelia Acosta Miranda, age 85, of Garland, Texas will be held at 5:oo P.M., Sunday, January 10, 2016 at ARIA Memorial Chapel in Dallas, Texas with the Rev. Jerry Hays officiating. Amelia Acosta Miranda was born on February 16, 1930 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She went to be with the Lord and was reunited with her husband Joe B. Miranda Sr. on January 7, 2016. Amelia loved her family and was a beloved wife, adoring mother, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She often started her comments with: “ I am one person that…” So we will always remember her as that one person that loved us all unconditionally and “that one person” who was full of life to the very end. She was lucky in so many ways so it was not surprising that she enjoyed going to casinos, winning from her scratch offs, SHOPPING for shoes and purses, or sometimes just relaxing with her word find puzzles. She was always ready to dance and we will always remember her as such a “sweet” lady, who no doubt got so sweet from all the sweets she relished, especially her cookies and pies! She was preceded in death less than a year ago by her husband, Joe B. Miranda; her parents, Irene and Crecencio; her brother, Santiago Acosta and sisters, Pauline Hill and Lucia Gonzalez. She was the last of her immediate family to pass on and now they are all reunited in heaven. Those left to share her memories and live her legacy of love are her children, Sylvia Hooke and husband, Tom of Frisco, Texas, Joe Miranda, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Edward Miranda and wife, Laura of Austin,Texas, Josephine Gonzalez and husband, Jesus of Garland, Texas, Irma Parra and husband, Elias of Wylie, Texas and Mario Miranda and wife, Amy of Austin, Texas. 15 Precious Grandchildren, Shannon, Stephanie, Thomas, Jalina, Michael, Jason, Eric, Jennifer, Jessica, Joseph, Gabriel, John, Monica, Madelyne, and Daniella; and Great Grandchildren, Avery, Robert, and Samantha, Jimmy, Jack, and Bobby, Annie and Aubrey, Brandon and Leland, Julian, Erika and Alexis, Jason, Jr., Cameron, and Valen, Yesenia, Marc, Yasmin, Yaritza, Yanelle, and Yaqueline, Autumn, Rafael and Christina, Gabriel, Jr. and Jayden, Jacin and Tristan.
