Perez Garcia de Palmer, Maria De Los Angeles

January 1, 0000 - January 9, 2016

Maria de los Ángeles Perez-Garcia de Palmer

Angela Palmer, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 9, 2016. A  Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 18 at 11:00AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Community.

Angie, as she was often called, was born to Winceslao and Modesta Perez in the city of Lerdo Durango, Mexico, where she lived with her 11 brothers and sisters and grandmother. She relocated to the El Paso area at a young age where she met a young Army soldier and, as the story goes, the rest is history.

A true representation of an Army wife, Angie traveled the globe with her soldier and, at times, kept the family together while he was away on assignments while stateside.

Angie was a faithful and devoted wife to Raymond for 56 years, a mother to Jon, Patricia and Erin. Mother in law to Susan and Andre. But her most coveted titles were Grams, Grandma and Pop to her grandchildren Anna and husband Dan, Airi and husband Sam, Erica, Jonathan, Joshua, Emily, Katie, Blake, Landon, Alicia, Danny and Sara.  And great grandmother to Kayla, Kamryn, Blake, Chantel, Jayden, Kai, Aiden, Liam, Jacoby, Harlo and her newest great grandbaby will arrive next month.

Angelita is also survived by her three sisters, Genoveva, Cuca and Mary. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in laws and many friends she met along her journey.

We will miss her terribly but we know that her broken body is healed and trust in our faith that we will one day be together again. Rest mom, we love you.

Request donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Diabetes Association and/or Catholic Charities.

Jon & Susan Palmer says:

There are no adequate words to describe the heartache I feel with mom’s passing. But equally words are inadequate in expressing how rich my life is from the love and life lessons mom provided throughout her many years on this earth. I can only imagine how wonderful our reunion will be when the Lord calls me home. Until we see each other again. I love you mom

Michele says:

Sorry for the loss of your love one. It is never easy losing a love one. The bible has a wonderful hope that we can see our love one again. It is found John 5:28,29 “….those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out…”

Excellent customer service, they made you feel like you were their only customer. Very helpful and explained what we should expect during the process. They basically took care of our needs during this time. They contacted DFW National Cemetery for us which made it a smooth experience. Definitely will use them again.
