Obituary
Robert ‘Bob’ Philip Maher passed away at the age of 58 on January 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Maher, by his parents Mary & Bill Maher and by his brother Thomas Maher. He is survived by his two sons Justin & Mark, three brothers Peter, Michael & Joseph, and a granddaughter McKinley, as well as four nephews, a niece, three great-nephews, and two great-nieces. Bob grew up in the Washington D.C. area, but spent much of his life in New Orleans, West Palm Beach, FL, West Allis, WI, and Dallas, TX, where he raised his family. He graduated from Loyola University with a B.A. in Communications, with an emphasis on TV production. After graduation, he moved to Florida, where he worked in television and met his wife, Ann. Once Bob and Ann settled in Dallas, he found his calling as a sales manager for a medical equipment company until his retirement in 2007. He had a lifelong commitment to helping and mentoring youths. In Florida, he was involved in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization, and later spent almost two decades as a devoted scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America. The interment of Bob and Ann will be held on February 6, 2016 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, TX. Bob’s wife, Ann S. Maher, passed away on 01/30/2015.
