Pat & Family: Bill is a great one, The Light Crust Doughboys and I can’t imagine our journey through life and music without “Bill and Pat”. From all the precious memories of Pocket Theater Doughboys’ shows through Realife events through recent Kessler concert, the support of the Butterys has been cherished and is something we honor forever. Please give me a little time to come up with something lasting and appropriate to do in honor of Bill’s legacy with us. I’m sorry I didn’t get to be with you this past Saturday, I have caretaking responsibilities with an 89 year old family member—-same age as Bill. Love and admiration always, ART & THE LIGHT CRUST DOUGHBOYS
Patricia, we were sad to hear of Bill’s passing. We know he will be missed by you and family. My wife and I live in Houston,tx having moved down from Sergeant Bluff Iowa where I too was employed by Braniff. I was only there for a couple years when due to cut backs I was first to go. I remember very well all the guys Bill, Floyd Sanders, Chuck Reid, Sam Cameron, Bob Gilligan and the others. Wish you and your family well, just had to let you know that Bill was a great guy and will miss him. Michael Buse, Houston,Tx
