Obituary
Gerald Carroll Gleason was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 19, 1934 to the late Joseph and Catherine Healy Gleason. He went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Josephine McKenna Gleason and a sister, Laverne Cleary.
Gerald served our country in the United States Navy and worked in telecommunications at Illinois Bell, Southwestern Bell, AT&T and retired from Alcatel Lucent. After retirement Gerald continued to work at Stratton Communication.
He loved family, friends, and sports. He also enjoyed traveling and puttering around his house and beautiful back yard.
He is survived by his adoring children, Maureen Gleason and Ed Walker of Plano, Texas, Bill Gleason and wife, Marisol of Frisco, Texas, Debbie Williams and husband, Jeff of Frisco, and Tom Gleason and Lisha Ebel of Plano, Texas; Precious grandchildren, Sean Gleason, George Macias, William Gleason, Blake Williams, Brandon Williams, Rylee Williams, and T.J. Gleason; and a very special friend and companion, Shirley Mueller of Chicago, Illinois.
The Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at ARIA Memorial Chapel located at 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Gerald’s honor to JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
