Fuentes, Veronica Marie
Obituary
Veronica Marie Fuentes, age 46, of Dallas, Texas passed away on February 3, 2016 in The Colony, Texas. Veronica was born in Hereford, Texas on April 20, 1969 to Emilio Fuentes Jr. and Mary Moreno Fuentes as the first of four children. Veronica attended Tascosa High School in Amarillo and graduated in 1987. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix in 2007. Veronica went on to earn a Masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology in 2008 from West Texas A&M University. Veronica’s passions included but were not limited to travel, camping and watching her Dallas Cowboys. Her love for Jesus, her Lord and Savior, knew no bounds. Of course, Veronica’s greatest role in life was a dedicated, loving Mom to her three boys. Her son Trea expressed her impact this way: “If I have learned one thing from my Mom, it is that happiness is what you make of it. It isn’t about having it all; it’s about making the best out of what you have. She raised my brothers and me to the best of her ability and molded each of us into the men we are today. I am thankful and honored to be her son. We love you Mom, always and forever.” Veronica is preceded in death by her sister Vanessa Fuentes; her grandfather Emilio Fuentes Sr; grandparents Quirino and Petra Moreno; and other family members that left us way too soon. Veronica is survived by her parents; three sons, Aliex Parker and girlfriend Erin Hughes, Emilio Fuentes III, and Michael Fuentes; two brothers, Brian Fuentes and wife Julie, and Mark Fuentes and wife Lorin. In addition to an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews, she leaves behind countless cherished friends she has impacted throughout her life that will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy Rd, Amarillo, TX 79119. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hillside Women c/o Hillside Christian Church West in Amarillo. Arrangements are under the direction of: ARIA Cremation Service & Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252
