Krueger, Steven "Steve" R.
Obituary
Steven (Steve) Richard Krueger went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 15, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. Your prayers for peace and comfort for Rachel, their daughters and his loving family are appreciated. Steve was gifted with the ability to engage people in a way that made them feel like they were the most important person in his world at that moment. He championed, encouraged and inspired everyone who crossed his path and treated friends and strangers alike with compassion and kindness. He was a tender-hearted, generous and loving man whose life reflected his love for Jesus and his family. Steve was a long-time member of Grace Outreach Center where he, Rachel and their daughters Michal and LeeAnn actively participated in the ministry. He led the Divorce Care Group for many years, helping many receive healing. The pre-school children in particular loved their “Gentle Giant” and sent him get well wishes on a poster-sized card, signed with their tiny hand prints. Professionally, Steve was a successful IT Recruiter, most recently with Valtech Services for the past six years. He frequently attended the local middle and high school games where his daughters cheered and was an avid college and professional football fan. Steve was a loving husband, caring father and devoted son and brother. He is survived by his wife Rachel (Rae Sandback), daughters Michal Lynn and LeeAnn, mother Jo Anne Krueger and sister LeeAnn “Punky” Krueger, both of Eagan, Minn., brother Paul Krueger and family of Arizona, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, his church family at Grace Outreach Center and countless friends and colleagues. Rachel girls and the entire family
My heart breaks for you all. Even though I haven’t seen you Rachel or Steven in over 18 years. I remember being so happy when you guys met. You both have that same personality that lights up a room when you enter. I also know that your husbands light has not gone out just look up its got to be the brightest one up in the sky. If you ever need anything just shout. Friends are friends forever if the lords the lord of them
PS. The church you go to saved my life God has you surrounded with wonderful people.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We are so very sorry for your loss. We are keeping you & your family in our thoughts & prayers. Praying for peace & comfort for each of you. With love…The Applegates
My heart is saddened by the loss of such an amazing man. I was blessed with the privilege of co- teaching with Steve at GOC for a season. Coming from an abusive, religious background as I did, Steve embodied the grace and abundant life of Christ. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him are forever enriched RIP man of God!
I pray blessings on his wonderful wife Rachel and his two beautiful daughters.
Punky and all of the Krueger’s,
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Steve’s death. I know you all loved him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jill
Words cannot express the sadness we feel about Steve’s death. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
With sincere sympathy, Mike & Jan Merck
My childhood friendship with Steve was made possible by a friendship my parents shared with Steve’s parents. And it was out of this friendship that Steve’s mother, Joanne, became my Godmother (I am so blessed by her!). And so it was, and so it remains, friendship in Christ as the foundation and reason for our hope. Rest in peace my friend. And all my love to the family.
Mike
Jo, Punky, Paul and Rachel and famkly: So so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. Growing up with you all was a blessing and I have very many fond memories from Jasper Drive. Blessings and prayers to you all — he left us way too soon.
