Obituary
David Marshall Williams was born January 9, 1924 in Houston, Texas, to William Guy and Elizabeth Pott Williams. He died, Thursday, February 25. 2016, in McKinney, Texas at the age of 92 years. After graduating from high school in 1941 he attended college before joining the Army Air Corps. His last duty was as a gunner on a B52 Bombardier in the Pacific. He was honorably discharged on December 20, 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He married Virginia Ruth Bohart on August 31, 1946 and they were the parents of three children, David Williams Jr., Dyan Williams-Brinson, and Steven Williams. His primary occupation was as an account manager for the Texas Credit Union League in Dallas. He was a long time resident of Richardson and a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife and three children. He is survived by one granddaughter, Amber Orr, of Henderson, Nevada, and three great grandchildren, Blake, Emily, and Evan. A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 23.
