i will miss you Dad ! Love you.
Dad,
I love u and I will miss u.

Jose,
Donde estas?
The girls and I took a stroll down Memory Lane today. The day was beautiful, I could not have ordered a more perfect day if I had tried. We started our journey at El Chico in Town East where you and I first met. We left there and the girls wanted to eat at a cafeteria to remember we used to meet you at your job for lunch whenever we could. They each selected the same meal they always did. From there we drove to White Rock Lake – where I asked you several times-Jose, donde estas? trying to show off what little Spanish I had learned. The picnic table at the lake is no longer there. In its place is a bridge over the water. We walked across the bridge and back scattering rose petals in the water and along our path. We had a bouquet of balloons made with a balloon of a different color for each member of my family who has gone before you – all the colors of the rainbow. There was one for my nephew (’75), my father (’85), my sister (’89), my mother (’94), my brother (’04), another brother (’09) and then we added you (’16). There was a balloon for you, “For Someone Special” with a rainbow and raindrops that looked like 7 tear drops, appropriate for your homecoming with the Tear Family! There was another balloon that said, “Welcome Home”. It became separated from the others and got stuck in a tree top. It lingered for quite some time before becoming free. As it rose, Diona tried to take a picture. There was a ray of light from the spot the balloon left the tree and went upward toward the sky. It was AWESOME. I wish I could show you, but I have a feeling you saw it.
We love you, miss you and look forward to seeing you and being together again! You will never be forgotten!
