Jeannette Yvonne “GiGi” Johnson On the morning of March 31st 2016, Jeannette went home to be with the Lord after a brave battle with cancer at her home in Plano, TX surrounded by family and friends. Jeannette was born in El Paso, TX on August 26th 1953. She is the middle child of Mark and Jeanne Clem. She is preceded in death by her Mother Jeanne Clem, Sister Cheryl Sendra, and former husband Bradley Johnson. She is survived in death by her daughter Jamie Strong and her husband Chris Strong and their children Zoe, London, and Gage from Rowlett, TX, daughter Tiffany Howard and her son Braden Howard from Plano, TX, brother Chris Clem and his wife Nancy Clem from Rockwall, TX, father Mark Clem from Terrell, TX, nephews Cliff Sendra and C.J. Jeannette had a zest for life that was contagious by all who knew her. She was very active in her Grandchildren’s lives and many social groups. She was a dear friend to all, an avid golfer and traveler. A woman of many talents, she was driven, motivated, passionate, and independent. All of these traits are what made her a successful business woman. Independently starting and opening her own business, Computer Start Up, for 35 years. Her Celebration of life will be held on April 8th at Pecan Grove Golf Course at 6pm 4901 14th Street, Plano 75074. I met Gigi 1 time, she came to a little Valentines Day party that her grandkids were having. They were so excited to have her there. She stayed for and little bit before she had to go back to work. We had a chance to talk a little, she was a very active lady. She told me what all she does and how any free time she got she would be with her family. The children were all over her laughing and showing her their art projects they had done.

Jeannette will always hold a special place in my heart. We shared our birthdays August 26, our love of golf, playing poker, our zest for travel and love and caring for our friends. I will always remember her WHOOP or “Tell me something good.” These were her favorite words and relayed with such enthusiasm. She sounded like she sang the Tell me something good phrase. These words and her indomitable spirit will remain with me forever. Rest dear friend for we will meet again.

I met Jeannette when she joined Gals I Golf. Shirley Guardipee and I were the first ones to play a round of golf with her. It was during that round that Jeannette and I discovered we had both worked for the Beverages at Gourmet Texas in different capacities. She was the Techie And I was their office person. She was always business at the office so I had not yet learned her fabulous personality.

Jeannette and I (and everyone she ever met) became fast friends. That is one of her many positive traits I will always remember.

I can still hear her on the golf course! She made everyone glad to be alive! I know she lived each and everyday to the fullest and I think she checked most everything off her bucket list except living to 200 and kicking cancers butt!!

I am going to miss you Jeannette!

My daughter, Haley and I lived down the street from Jeannette, Brad, Jaime, and Tiffany in Plano. We did things together often and her girls would watch Haley when they were available. Jeannette always kept in touch as I moved around and now live in Ohio. Your zest for life, your emails, and your ability to make everyone feel special will be greatly missed. Tiffany, Jaime and all of GiGi’s grandkids wrap yourselves in the precious memories and hold tight to each other! Love you Jeannette, you taught me how to enjoy life to the fullest. You will be forever in my heart dear friend!

I went to Marsh Jr. High and W.T. White High School with Jeannette and she got me in so much trouble. I had moved from Corpus Christi Catholic School to public school. She was remarkable and such a good friend. We were like twins, where she was I was. Even as our lives grew to new adventures we kept in touch. Actually went to a few class reunions together. I will miss her but feel better now she is pain free and with God. My dear friend R.I.P. I will love her forever and already miss her.

"If I could give 6 stars I would. Aria made a difficult easier to deal with by basically taking care of everything in an efficient but very empathetic manner. I can speak highly enough of Dusty Martin, who helped us with all of the planning and logistics. He was incredibly understanding and helpful."

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
