A Memorial Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church located at 5231 Meadowcreek Drive, Dallas, TX 75248 on Saturday at 11am. A Celebration of Life will also be held at Vernon’s Bar and Grill the following day, Sunday from 5pm-7pm. John Peter Kerhulas was born on February 22, 1944. At his death on April 23rd, 2016 he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten Kerhulas Helling and Troy Helling and his son, Peter Theodore Kerhulas; as well as his grandchildren, Megan, Emily and Christopher Helling and sister Ranea Kerhulas Pallad and Brother Ted Kerhulas John was born to Peter and Pan Kerhulas in Columbia, South Carolina. In his younger years, his family moved to California where he eventually met and married Connie Campbell Kerhulas and had their two children Kirsten and Peter. He experienced a prestigious career in software sales that led he and his family to locate to Dallas, Texas in 1979, where he remained. John will be most remembered for his love of his family, golf, Greek food, his friends and the Cactus Invitational Golf Tournament, where he acquired the name of “King of the Desert”.
