Obituary

Paul Louis Boss was born on May 8, 1951 in Bellerose, New York and passed away April 25, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. Paul was a loving father and grandfather. He was a friend to all. He was in the US  Army reserves in 1971. In 1972 he opened Boss America a towing and gas station in Rhinebeck, New York. In 1976, he moved to El Paso, Texas and started working for Casner Imports. He worked as a mechanic and worked his way up to service manager. He specialized in Jaguar, Fiat, Saab, and Peugeot. In 1989, he moved to Mack Massey Motors as service manager of BMW, Jeep and Dodge. In 2003, he moved to California, which was one of his dreams, and was service manager for Cadillac and Corvette. In 2011, he returned to Texas to work for Toyota and in 2012 returned to BMW and retired in 2013. Paul received many awards for his customer service and management skills. He took great pride in his work to make sure the customer was happy and satisfied. He also volunteered his time with the local technical schools to mentor students in the automotive industry. Paul enjoyed his playtime with family and friends. He enjoyed jet skiing, motorcross, car racing and drag racing. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Anthony Boss and his mother, Jeanette Batorsky Boss. Paul’s father passed away from breast cancer and his mother from Alzheimer’s, so he donated his time and money to these causes whenever he could. Paul is survived by his only child, Susan Boss and her husband, J. Daron Beckham and their son Stance Boss Beckham. There will be no services and his ashes will be spread at a later date with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Breast Cancer or Alzheimer’s foundation. Fond memories will be of his generous heart and goofball pranks. He was a loving father to his daughter Susan and was excited to teach his grandson all he knew. You loved and are loved back. Enjoy the music. We love You. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

    From your little girl…
    Daddy,
Our love was that of a typical father and his little girl. I was a tomboy learning how to work on cars w you, fix the sprinklers, play catch almost every night, play basket ball on sundays, to doing yard work, way to much yard work.
You always tried to be the best dad to me when you were able. We never questioned our love even through lifes ups and downs.
I want your spirit to be at peace now and know everyone knew you had good heart.
Enjoy meeting all your favorite musians and pick up your guitar and have the best jam session possible.
I will miss you everyday but will remember the best part of you forever.
Stance said ” I loved him”, “he was a good friend” it was so endearing.
With tears and love and with a big hug,
    I love you Daddy.

Suezyn, I’m very sorry for your loss. I didn’t know your father but I know he must have been a great guy because I think you’re very special. I lost my dad this same week, one year ago, and he too was cremated by Aria. Please know it gets easier and if you ever want to talk about your Dad, I’m all ears. Much love, Katie

Paul will always be a cherished part of my childhood. My mom Bertha and him worked together from the time I was a toddler until I joined the Air Force, so Paul was like family. I’ll never forget the time my mom was having issues with the washing machine so Paul came to fix it. Unfortunately there was something rather embarrassing that belonged to me that was clogging the water hose, Paul till this day always reminded me of it. He will truly be missed. I always remember his infectious smile and laugh. He was a great guy who will never be forgotten. Love you Paul…xoxo, Georgie

I met Paul ( auto genius ) mid 70’s when he was working with Doug Casner and the Casner clan, Casner Imports, El Paso TX. We became fast friends and would meet on Friday nights at Pete’s Pizza for real New York pie. It was great to listen to Paul & Pete talk about New York with their accents. This was followed by the spinning of vinyl rock & roll at Paul’s home, turned up till the speakers were given a proper work out. I think we wore out some Ted Nugent albums. A young vibrant Susan boss was a great little girl, very involved and in the mix of her family’s activity, who blossomed into a beautiful person. Too many great memories, but watching Sue Boss prepare ” The Best ” lasagna ever, and also, hand making wan tons and egg rolls taught by Paul & Sue was a blast and so, so good.
Donna and I pray blessings and comfort to Susan, family and friends of Paul.
    May Paul rest in peace.

My condolences to Pauls family. I met Paul when he came to work at the dodge store in Fresno Ca as my service manager. He was a great person to work for and we developed a great friendship over the years. I enjoyed hearing stories about the way the car business used to be and his younger years. I still remember him dressing up for Halloween in a Doors tshirt and a full wig. Definitely one of the best costumes and funniest costumes that day! Hehad such a great sense of humor. I learned so much working for Paul, and share stories about him often. He was a great person and will be missed! Till we meet again my friend.

I’m very saddened to here about my great friend Paul Boss!
I have no doubt he will be missed by many! Paul had such a big heart and would go out of his way to others whenever
needed. Paul was great to work with and had a wealth of
knowledge in the auto industry. Paul was always up for
a challenge and had many great accomplishments in the
Dealerships we worked together at. Paul was a real jokester
and so much fun to be around. He and I had many dinners
together after work and he always found a way to make
a new friend. My only regret knowing Paul Boss was I didn’t
get the opportunity to tell him what a great man and true
friend he was to me. Paul was a guy you always wanted
in your corner because you could always count on him.

Paul Boss you are truly missed!!!!

    Your Friend, Ron Kirby

Susan and family, I am so very sorry to hear of my dear friend Paul’s passing. I cannot believe he is no longer with us. There is not a day I don’t think of Paul. I met Paul when I went to work for Casner Imports in El Paso, TX in May of 1978. I could write a book of all the wonderful memories I have of Paul but I find it very hard to write them down, so I will just leave them tucked away in my heart. Susan, please know your father was loved and respected by many. My daughter Georgie and I will always remember Paul with his contagious smile and good humor. Paul, you will always hold a very special place in my heart.

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
