Left to cherish his memory are Emma Cross Petty, wife of 63 years, daughter, Jena Petty Perkins, son, Buddy (Albert) Petty and wife Teresa Petty, son-in-law Philip Alexander. Grandchildren: Heather MacDonnell and husband Kurt, William Perkins and wife Marilia, Charles Perkins and wife Susie, Makayle Alexander, Devin Alexander Erickson and husband Taylor, Carrie Harrelson and husband Phil, and Kelly Berman. Great Grandchildren: Theron MacDonnell, Lukas MacDonnell, Olivia MacDonnell, Christian Perkins, Anthony Perkins, Jerold Perkins, Elijah Perkins, Emma Perkins, Eliza Ericson, Preston Harrelson, Peyton Harrelson, Wolfe Berman and Chloe Berman. Also left are a multitude of nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends. Albert and Emma created a beautiful legacy. If you asked Albert what made him happy, he would tell you that he was happiest knowing that his children grew up into wonderful adults. He was proud of his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. His family was everything to him. Because of his strong sense of family, many of his children’s friends looked to him as their other dad. He would do anything for anyone in need. He had a dry sense of humor, and he loved a good joke. Albert’s favorite pastime was fishing – fresh water or salt water. He looked for any opportunity to put a hook in the water. On good days, he brought home a mess of fish. On bad days, he would say “That’s why it’s called fishing, not catching.” Fishing usually led to a fish fry, where family and friends gathered for good food and fellowship. Please join us as we celebrate his life on Saturday, August 20th The celebration will begin at 2PM. Following the service, we invite you to enjoy light refreshments while we mingle and share your best “Albert” memory.

Daddy, I miss you like crazy. Thank you for the values you instilled on my sisters and me. We will take care of your beautiful bride. Until we meet again, I love you.
Uncle Albert was more than just an Uncle to me. He truly was the closest thing to me of having a dad.
My Most cherished moment was the Corpus Cristy trip to go deep sea fishing. I was sick under the table but Uncle Albert was out fishing, lol. I have loads of memories that I will carry in my heart daily. But most of all I will miss calling him for advice. He helped me in just the little words he gave. No tears for him leaving because I know he’s not hurting. And I know he has his other family up there with him just fishing away smiling . Until we meet again. I love you Uncle Albert. Kim
Thoughts and prayers to Emma, Jena, and Buddy. I thought the world of Cooter and I’m so thankful I saw and talked with him just a short time ago at El Fenix.
Albert you will be dearly missed by so many. Some of my favorite memories are our fishing trips and all the many fish fry’s over the years. Love ya!
Jena, my love and condolences to you and the entire family. I know you will sorely miss your dad, your fishing buddy, your friend. I love all the stories you tell about all your adventures together. Glad you have all those wonderful memories. Sending love and hugs. Michelle
