Obituary
Frances was born Dec. 8, 1919 in Wichita Falls, TX to Lesta and Thomas Walker, the first of 4 siblings. After graduating from Burkburnett Senior High School, she attended and received a diploma from Bardin Junior College in May, 1939. Frances met the love of her life, Darrell Maurice Cooper, when he was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. They were married in October of 1944. She stayed busy raising their 3 children, an officer in the PTA, a den mother in the Cub Scouts and an active member in Broadway Baptist Church since 1952. In 1960 she and Maurice opened and operated Fair East Paint and Hardware and later Apex Home Improvements. They worked together until Maurice’s death in 1983. Frances loved her church family and was a faithful member of the Felicia Sunday School Class at Broadway Baptist for the last 30 years of her life. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Kerry Michael, grandson Kelly Michael and brothers Thomas P. Walker and Daniel E. Walker. Survivors: daughter Denise Lowry and her husband Pat, son Larry Cooper and his wife Kay, sister Pat Durden and her husband John, granddaughters Kerri Cooper and Michelle Cooper, 2 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in the Fleming Chapel of Broadway Baptist Church, Ft. Worth at 11:00am on Thursday, October 31st.
