Cousin Julie was a very special person. We don’t believe we ever saw her without a smile on her face.
As a personal note, I remember her always being so supportive of my singing. Steve and I always enjoyed being around her. Our thoughts and prayers have been and will continue to be with
Bob and the whole family.

Our deepest sympathies
Our hearts are hurting for you all. Sending our deepest sympathies.
I had the distinct pleasure of working with Mrs. Dermody from the opening of Scroggs Elementary in Chapel Hill, NC in 1999 until she left to teach elsewhere. She was always kind to me and was my cheerleader to succeed in running a great After School Program. Mrs. Dermody was loved by her students year after year. My condolences to her family at this sorrowful loss. They will be my prayers tonight as will the great Mrs. Dermody.
I am so saddened to hear this news. I had the honor of teaching with her for years in Chapel Hill. She taught me so much about children and about the art of teaching. She was always so kind and patient, both with students and with her colleagues. We are all better people for having had her in our lives. I will never forget her.
