James Arlen Guidry, 70, of Dallas, TX passed away at Medical City Hospital, Saturday March 9, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Port Arthur, TX on December 2, 1942. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1962. He attended Lamar University and received several more degrees. He enjoyed motorcycles, sailing, and TV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ovey and Mary Eva Guidry, and brother Errol Guidry. He is survived by his sons, Ronald and John Guidry and daughter in law Carrie Guidry. Grandchildren Kevin, Jerrol, James Mical, Taylor, John Jr and Eva Guidry and great grandson Byron Guidry. James worked for Houston Lighting and Power, Texas Instruments as a Master Electrician and was chief engineer for North Central Plaza, Preston Commons, Crescent Inc, and was a member of the IBEW. Following cremation, family and friends will have a memorial service to remember and pay tribute to his life. It will be held March 2, 2013 at Community Life Church, 975 Fox Avenue, Lewisville, TX 75067 from 7pm-9pm.
