Irene E. Ondarza, age 89, left this world, May 12, 2022, at her home in McKinney, TX surrounded by family.
She was born, July 7, 1932, in San Antonio, TX to Louis and Lena (Rodriguez) Enriquez, the youngest of their three children. Upon graduating from San Antonio Tech, she became a secretary at Retail Merchants Assoc. where she met the love of her life, Arnold Ondarza, III. The two were wed on February 2, 1957 and throughout their 65 years of marriage she was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a woman of faith with many talents and strengths.
Where ever life took her, Cape Cod, Dallas, Plano, and Denver, Irene forged life-long friendships and created countless memories of a beautiful home filled with friends and family enjoying her wonderful cooking and abundant hospitality. The epitome of grace, beauty, and a quick wit, she had a smile that lit up a room and made everyone feel welcome.
Irene is survived by her loving husband, daughter, Lisa Langford and husband Brian of McKinney, TX, daughter, Deborah Dunn and husband Brian of Prosper, TX, their children, Megan, Harrison and Pierce, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Louis Enriquez, sister, Lillian Enriquez, and son, Ray Arnold Ondarza.
Our beloved Mom, “Nannie”, Aunt, and friend will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, perfect shade of red lipstick, loving nature, positive attitude, and her unyielding strength which came from her devoted faith in God.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at a later date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, please honor her with a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the Visiting Nurse Association, or organization of your choice.

I know y’all’s loss is deep but I also know y’all know you will see her again ❤️ She has left y’all with a legacy of faith, family & so many precious memories. Love y’all …
