Janice Lynn Kempa
Obituary
Heaven has gained another angel as Janice Kempa of Frisco Texas peacefully passed away on March 28th, 2022. She was 59 years old. Janice was born on June 4th, 1962 in Forest Park, Illinois and lived in the Chicago area until she moved to the Dallas Metroplex area with her family in 1984. Janice attended school in Dallas and graduated from Richardson High School.
After high school she went to work at Crowne Plaza where she worked for 16 years. She was an excellent employee, being named the employee of the month many times. She never missed a day of work until her retirement in 2007.
Janice never met a stranger and brightened everyone’s day as she lit up the room. If you asked her, how she was doing no matter how she felt she always said GREAT!!
Janice’s passion was music. She sang in the church choir for many years. She sang at all of our weddings. She loved to sing and dance to Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Depeche Mode. She danced and sang with all of the entertainers at Parsons House where she lived for 14 years. And they loved her.
She loved working on workbooks, crocheting blankets, playing Pac Man, making jewelry and playing bingo where she won most of the time!
She volunteered at many holiday events at my son Kyle’s school, where she raffled off pies and handed out pizza to the kids.
Janice later lived at Parsons House in Frisco TX where she lived for 14 years. Parsons House loved Janice very much and took great care of her as if she were their very own family. When she was declining she needed to be moved to skilled nursing at Stonemere.
She died at Stonemere rehabilitation where she had rebab for many years after hospital trips and now hospice. So they treated her like family there too. They took very good care of her until the end. She was very lucky that way!
Janice is survived by sisters Jill Kempa, Susan Segretto (Husband-Sam), Gayle Malopsy (Husband-Trip), and her brother Rob Kempa (Wife-Debbie). As well as her nephews, Kyle, Anthony, Sean and Michael and her niece Megan
Preceded in death are Bernice Kempa – MOM – Walter Kempa – DAD – all together now in heaven.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers during this time. If you want to honor her do something nice for someone today, she would love that.
Blessings to everyone. She will be truly missed by our whole family and everyone who’s heart she touched.
There will be a celebration of LIFE for Janice at Parsons House on May 6th at 1:30pm.
