Jerl Lynn Smith has left this world and moved on. She was preceded in death by her father Jerl Lynn Hadaway. Left amongst us to carry her memory are her mother Donna Hadaway, brother Curt Hadaway, daughter Aimee Lawrence and son Casey Wade. Within Aimee’s and her Husband, Travis Lawrence’s branches are Jerl’s grandchildren; Carly, Ella, Grace and Ryanna.
While through her son and daughter in-law, April Wade, Lilitu, Tamesys, and Eli have been brought forth. It is hard to speak of loss when we have gained so much from her. A depth of love that is immeasurable. A well spring of kindness. A view of life that is multifaceted. Jerl was a tree of life that has left her precious seeds to grow on as a forest.
Daughter, mother, wife, sister; titles that fall well short of who she is. So few in this world are able to leave the legacy of love that she has left. Love that created precious jewels brought about by the heat and pressure of life. The times she consoled a tear stained daughter running home to tell of how others had wronged her. There when her small son went running home to be the first to tell his story when he had wronged others.
A consoling voice to a brother and a dear sense of love for a mother. A foundation of strength and kindness to her grandchildren. We will continue to pull such diamonds from our chest through out our own lives to share them with the few who are dear enough to view them. Such jewels keep those who hold them together in a bond that is unseen by the world and can only be felt by a select few.
Those she loved who have been greatly enriched by the treasures of her own heart. Her riches will live on for generations to come.
