Johnson, Blaine
Obituary
Blaine Johnson, born September 9, 1976 in Dallas, TX to Wayne A. Johnson, II and Susan (Acree) Johnson Hansen, left this earth surrounded by loving family to join his Lord and Savior on November 6, 2020. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survived by his parents, son Jordan B. Clark, daughter Elle C. Johnson, step mother Claudia C. Johnson, sister Gina Johnson Herman and husband Mark Herman, brother Mitchell C. Johnson, step father Stan Hansen, step sister Robin Kane Williams and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne A. Johnson of Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Acree of Corsicana, and stepfather Jeffrey L. Kane of Richardson. Blaine attended Richardson schools graduating from LV Berkner High School in 1995 where he received numerous awards in track and field, played varsity basketball and served as senior class vice president. Going on to graduate from Southern Methodist University in 1999 with a B.A. in Business Administration, he worked in several positions before he found his calling as Coach Johnson in the Garland ISD where he taught, coached and served as athletic director at Austin Academy, Jackson Technology Center and Brandenburg Middle School. He was especially proud of his Garland High School 1999 Football Championship Ring awarded to him for service on the all-important scout team. More recently, Blaine obtained his Texas Insurance License in preparation for a Business Development Management position in the Dallas area. A firm believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Blaine attended Watermark Church and enjoyed his biblical studies at Bible Study Fellowship. He was especially on his game at the downtown Dallas Parole office where he participated in his family’s program providing free cell phones and service to inmates returning from incarceration. His message, “You’ve got a friend in Jesus. Don’t go it alone.” He will be remembered for his intelligence, quick wit and sense of humor. Blaine was a big, athletic guy standing 6’4″ with a larger than life personality. Our family is grateful to God for Blaine’s life. We also wish to thank all who have shown kindness and compassion to Blaine and our family during this difficult time. We would like to especially thank his Health Care Team at Parkland Hospital along with the staff of First Texas Hospice.
“For my Father’s Will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have Eternal Life.” (John 6:40)
A Memorial Service to honor Blaine will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10am in the chapel of Prestonwood Baptist Church.

I will never forget the very first time I met Blaine. He was around 10-years-old with a personality as big as Texas. Watching him grow up to be a good looking young man, always able to tell a tale (true but embellished like crazy) was an honor and he always made me laugh. He was so loved and will be missed by all. Much love, Blaine and I know you are keeping those angels entertained right now. Love Love Love to you.
Your cousin/aunt Lisa

This world has lost a funny, larger than life person whom I will always remember all the funny times with. We will miss you but know you are doing what God has called you to do in Heaven. I rejoice that you are in your eternal home. Prayers for all of the family for their loss and sadness.

He grew up with our kids. I’m so sorry.
He was a good dad and I wish I had the chance to see him before he passed.
