June Yvonne Samples went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2022. Born July 10, 1931 in Irving, Texas to John Earl Tye Sr. and Mary Marie Warren Tye, both precedes Yvonne in death, as well as her brother, John Earl Tye Jr. Survived by sister, Peggy Tye Miller, Daughter, Rhonda and son in law, Kevin Patrick, Grandson, Tye Patrick and husband, Conner Patrick, Great granddaughter, Payton Patrick. Nephews, Scott and Rheann Miller, Daryl and Nicolle Miller. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Yvonne graduated from Woodrow Wilson and El Centro College. She retired from William H. Ladue after 30 years service. Member of First Assembly in Mesquite for many years and after moving to Carrollton, her membership was at Freedom Life from 1996 to present. Yvonne served the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, Mother’s Day Out, Prayer ministry and started the WOW ladies’ group. Her most recent ministry was sending out birthday cards to her Sunday school class and church leadership. Yvonne gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 10 years old. Yvonne faithfully supported many Christian organizations that funded children and Wounded Warriors for many, many years. Yvonne was a wonderful and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved Tanner and Payton with her whole heart. She was also a two-time, stage four cancer survivor and elected to have no chemo and trusted in the Lord for healing. God healed her and she was used as a wonderful testimony for the divine healing and work of our Lord and Savior.
