Kirkpatrick, Gordon Rae
Obituary
Gordon Rae Kirkpatrick of Dallas, Texas passed away on August 4, 2019 at the age of 69 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Texarkana, Arkansas to Lillian and Edward Kirkpatrick on November 19, 1949. We always joked he was not a native Texan even though his parents lived in Texarkana, Texas at the time. He moved around often as child but ended up in Longview, Texas where he graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1968. He married the love of his life, Debra (Debbie) House Kirkpatrick on November 22, 1973 at his parents’ home in Hurst, Texas on Thanksgiving Day. They celebrated 45 years of marriage this last Thanksgiving. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1973 with a degree in Business. College was some of the best times he had and where he made many lifelong friends. Gordon had his own cabinet shop before he sold it and became a Home Inspector. He was a loving husband and father. He was also musically talented, good with his hands and a great joke teller with an uncanny memory for jokes. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Raymond Kirkpatrick and his brother Billy Kent Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his mother Lillian Kirkpatrick, his brother and sister-in law Russell Kirkpatrick and Pat Kirkpatrick of West Bend, Wisconsin, his loving wife Debbie Kirkpatrick, his daughter and son-in-law Kevyn and Jordan Tubb, son Kyle Kirkpatrick and three grandchildren Logan Tubb, Jackson Tubb and Harper Tubb, all from Dallas, Texas
Services will be held Saturday, August 10th, 2:00 p.m. Wilshire Baptist Church 4316 Abrams Rd Dallas, TX 75214
Reception to follow at Dallas Elks Lodge 71, 8550 Lullwater Dr. Dallas, Tx 75238
