Larry Leroy Jennings
Larry Leroy Jennings, a devoted husband and Father, peacefully passed from Congestive Heart Failure at 9:30 pm on 30 May, 2022, at the age of 73 at the Medical City Hospital, Fort Worth, TX. Larry is survived by his wife; Salvación Velasco Salbili Jennings (Siony); Daughters; Catalina Victoria Jennings Smith (Cathy), Charlette Velasco Patterson, Sherry Jennings Kevianne; Son; Larry Leroy Jennings II. Including 5 Grand Children and 4 Great Grand Children; Brother; Jerry Dean Jennings. He is predeceased by his parents, Leroy and Fay Jennings, his Brother Randy Jennings and Sister Debbie Rutledge (Jennings). Larry was born in Blytheville, AR on 10 January, 1949 to Leroy Jennings and Fay Roberson. He honorably served in the Marine Corp from 1968 to 1971, with 2 tours to Vietnam. He also served honorably in the US Navy from 1974 to 1996 in the Seabees retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. As a country we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Larry Jennings and all the veterans like him, who faithfully served and carried the burden of freedom upon their broad shoulders. In Larry’s earlier years he could easily be found with greasy hands and under his latest vehicle repair. In his free time, he loved to fish. Of course, after the Vietnam War, as most veterans he suffered from PTSD and to cope with PTSD, He filled his head with endless stories and Jokes, a one of a kind sense of humor. Never hearing the same joke twice. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends.A family viewing
