Obituary
Jun Lai Li was born on August 22, 1940 in Taishan, Guangdong, China. He passed away on March 19, 2019 in Plano, Texas at the age of 78. Jun Lai Li is survived by his loving wife Pei Gen Yi , son Aaron Li, daughter Levy Li, son-in-law Frank Pan and his 4 grandchildren Vincent Li, Kayla Li, Ashley Pan and Andrew Pan. Jun Lai graduated in 1960 from Taishai 1st High School, in his hometown, Guangdong province and in 1965 he graduated from Hunan University earning a bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering. From 1965 to 1990, he worked at the Chemical Research Institute in Xiang Tan, Hunan as a chief engineer. He married Pei Gen Yi in 1970 and they started their family a few years later when their daughter and son were born. He and his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1990 to start their new chapter in life. He retired in 2009 at the age of 69, after 20 years of hard work as a city employee of San Francisco. In February 2019 he and his wife moved from San Francisco, California to Plano, Texas to live with his son and family. He loved to read and the World Journal (a Chinese newspaper) was one of his favorites. He loved traveling and was able to travel with his wife around the world. He enjoyed playing Ping Pong, Taichi, and watching soccer and basketball games. He always loved spending time with his grandkids and all his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend! He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Please leave your condolences for the family.
