Megan Elise Pritchard
Obituary
Megan Elise Pritchard February 16, 1995 ~ February 10, 2022 It’s with a heavy and broken heart that I wanted to say, that I lost my daughter, and my best friend, Megan Pritchard, who died suddenly on February 11th, 2022 just five days short of her 27th birthday. She was a precious daughter to Janie Elliott Pritchard, awesome sister to Austin Pritchard and wonderful mother to her 6 year old son, Oliver who has autism. There are no words to express how broken our hearts are. Just a little about Megan…she was going to school to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner or a pediatric nurse and only had one semester to go before she could apply to the nursing program. Even as hard and challenging as school was, she balanced being a mom and yet averaged a 3.80 GPA. She loved learning new things especially in the sciences. She loved her son Oliver with every fiber of her being. She was an advocate for mental health and autism. Little Oliver, who is non-verbal, doesn’t understand what has happened to his mom but we know he’s grieving as well. She loved kids in general. She longed to find her mate that she could have more children with but would also love and be good to Oliver as well. She always put Oliver first before herself. She loved the kindness in Keanu Reeves and also hoped she would find someone equally as caring for herself someday. She cared deeply for the homeless and would give them anything she had. Once it was raining very hard and she noticed a homeless man had a broken umbrella while she was stopped at a red light. She popped her trunk and gave him the only umbrella she had along with a fresh bottle of water. Her college professor was hurting financially and she noticed his shoes were very worn. She bought him a new pair of shoes with her refund because she wanted to help. She was kind to everyone and wanted to make the world a better place by starting with herself. Hug your children tight and tell them you love them because you never know when it’s the last time… Please pay a random act of kindness to anyone or pay something forward to help spread kindness in general with her in mind. Help make the world a kinder place in her honor. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website. Arrangements under the direction of:

Prayers and Hugs. Megan’s life and memory will go on with paying it forward . ❤
I am so very proud of her. My heart swells with gratitude and sadness, as I watched her grow into a wonderful human and mother. – always Stephanie
To Janie, and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beautiful Megan. I pray that your hearts will be comforted by the sweet memories that you have of and made with Megan. May God continue to strengthen and keep you. Peace and Love,
Thank you so very much my friend.
Thank you Stephanie. You knew Megan in a way others didn’t. She trusted & loved you because you became important in the change in direction of her life. She was the very best mom to Oliver. He was her little hero & she was his voice. She was an advocate for Autism & Mental Health because those were important issues to her that she wanted people to learn & understand more about. My daughter was just so amazing.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I know nothing I say can make it better, and I can’t even begin to imagine what your going through, but please know, even before she was born, she was loved by everyone. She is a beautiful star, a star that will always be in our hearts and our memories. Life does not make sense and losing someone so young and loving as Megan is tragic. Stay strong and know I am here for you.
Thank you so much Tina. She was my only little girl & my best friend. Although she died at 26 years old, she will always be my little girl. She showed kindness to everyone & touched so many with the little time she had on this earth. I will continue to miss & love her forever & always.
Thank you so much Brenda. She was a shining star. I wish more people had got to know what an extraordinary woman she had become. I was so proud of the issues she fought for. She believed in kindness to everyone & wanted to make this world a better place starting with herself. She taught me & still is, on how to be a better person.
