Michille Wells
Obituary
Michille was born July 19, 1958 in San Angelo, TX to the parents of Judy Joiner and Howard Deapo. She was a proud Texan, having lived in many Texas cities over the years. When she was a child, her parents moved her to Farmers Branch, where she lived up until high school. After finishing high school, she relocated to Austin, but moved back to Dallas in the late 1980s to help care for her grandfather. Carrolton is where her love story began, the area where she met her husband, David, in 1992. They married three years later on the Fourth of July. There were fireworks, fireworks that never dimmed over the years. Their daughter, Alyson, was born in 1997, changing their lives for the better. Alyson is who Michille lived for. Michille lit up any room and her smiled was infectious and warm, just like the sun. In fact, under the sun, by water, a beach, or swimming pool was where Michille had the most fun. Caring for and nurturing others came natural for Michille. She had an infatuation for animals and rescued at least 15 over the years. But her most rewarding gift and honor to take care of was her daughter Alyson, who she indebted her all to. Michille leaves behind a host of family, co-workers, and friends, including the “Warthogs,” many of whom are here today. Her very best friend, Karen Ward, has been with Michelle through thick and thin. Michille was loved immensely, and many of you here today, especially Jordan Ogden, took time to visit her during her most fragile moments. Michille’s nurse, Jennifer Gibson, made this heart wrenching journey a bit manageable, updating the family regularly so we understood what her health conditions meant. Michille is survived by her husband, David, and her daughter, Alyson. She will be remembered by her family, friends, and beloved Shelter Mortgage family. Michille, may you rest eternally in peace. Your heart was grand and it moved you to love deeply. There is NO ONE like YOU. Let our memories of Michille be beautiful and light-filled, just like she was.

I loved Michille like a sister and enjoyed our time working together at Shelter Mortgage. Most of us have continued to keep in touch and we consider ourselves “family”. I will miss her! RIP Michille!!! ❤️
Michille with an i, Matt with two t’s. I smile every time I think of that! That is how Matt knows I am talking about you. You were such a special person in my life. I remember meeting you at Shelter… working together to get you certified to underwrite the AUS approvals, working with you on all of your FHA borrowers that needed to know how to get the loan finalized. I remember you and Ally baking / sending me cookies and coffee every year for so long after I moved to Memphis. You were always so thoughtful and kind. I loved when you came to Memphis to see me and we went to Rendezvous to enjoy your company and some good ole southern bar b que. I loved watching your family grow with Ally. I laughed when you laughed and cried when you cried. You held my hand (through the phone of course) when I needed you. I am so heartbroken that you have left this earth, but so happy that you will be a shining Angel in Heaven. I cannot be at the celebration of your life. I am so sorry. But I will be there in spirit. Fly high my friend. I love you. David and Ally, I know your hearts are so heavy. I know how much you loved Michille. Please stay strong and carry the torch. That is what she would have wanted you to do. She will always be with you… in a glimpse of a baby dachshund, in the blueness of the water, in the rays of the sunshine… in the beautiful flowers.. she will be there. Love you all!
Michille was so friendly and kind. She truly lit up a room and made everyone feel special.
