Parsley, Clydus "Faye"

Clydus “Faye” Parsley of Richardson, TX, passed away on January 23, 2019, after a brief illness.

Faye was born in Lampasas County to Mae and Oscar McPhearson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Lola Mamo, Truman McPhearson, and J.D. McPherson, and is survived by sister, Vera Skaggs, children: Larry Curfman and spouse Carolyn, Becki Towns and spouse Martin, and loving youngest son, John; grandchildren: Amy Nienhusser, Kimberly Curfman, Chris Curfman, and Sean Sittig, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Faye, known by “Tootsie” in her youth, was a hard worker who held various positions throughout her career. Her latest occupation was in the banking industry where she worked as a help desk support clerk.

Faye was an avid reader, enjoyed working puzzles, and loved spending time with family and friends. In earlier years, her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, knitting, and ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed attending worship services and was involved in various church activities. She had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Richardson Methodist Hospital who took exceptional care of our mother during her final days with us.

A graveside service will be held at Seymore Cemetery in Yantis, TX
March 17, 2019, at 2 PM.
Faye’s brother-in-law, Jim Skaggs, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be officiating.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Arthritis National Research Fund or the American Kidney Fund in Faye’s memory.
