I am so sorry to hear about Don. We played lots of ball together in Jr and Sr High. Sadly I haven’t seen him since 1968 and did not know he was ill.
Sandy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Our thoughts & prayers are with Sandra and family. So sorry for your loss.
Don was my dear friend in our teenage time together, we shared great laughter and conversation and I will always treasure those days. He was smart, funny, athletic, kind and generous. Trips to the lake house in his Dad’s plane were great fun. I will always remember how sweet his mother was to me, my deepest sympathy to her and Sandy and all the family.
Sandy, so sorry for your loss, my heart breaks for you having gone through this same incident last last year. It is hard to Lose a husband but God and your family will get you through. In sympathy. Christti

I am so sad to here that Donald passed. He had such a sharp wit and was always a delightful guy to be with during high school and the regrettably few occasions we saw each other since then. I say “Hear, hear” to Larry’s “Sentries Forever”. My thoughts and prayers to Sandy and all the family.
He was a leader of our class. He led a life of import and achievement. I was lucky to know him.
Mother and I send our heartfelt sympathy to you, sweet Sandy and your family. I have so many wonderful memories of all of the fun times we had in high school. Don had such a great personality and I know how much he adored you. I’m so happy to hear that you have such a large and loving family. They will certainly help to ease your pain. God Bless You All !
Sandy, please accept Tricia’s and my condolences. You and Don have been a part of our lives from our high school days through our experiences in the Lake Highlands community. We care about you and your family. May you be surrounded with love at this sad time.
Doug and I send our deepest sympathy. May God give you strength, comfort, and understanding. Hope happy memories can help you through this difficult time.
Colonels and Wildcats together!
My thoughts and prayers for peace and understanding are with the Powell family today. And also for the ’68 SGHS classmates of Don. We are saddened by the loss of another SGHS Colonel.
My prayers to you and your family Sandy . Donald was such a special friend to so many through our high school years. Always an encourager, kind and fun loving. He will be missed by so many, but his memories are to be cherished forever. Becky Montgomery Smith
