Ruiz, Herbert Allan
Obituary
Herbert Allan Ruiz of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 12, 2020 with his wife Vickie and his nephew Jonathan Spivey, who acted as caregiver during the last two weeks of his life. Herb, an only child, was born to Herbert & Iola Ruiz in Tucson, Arizona in 1945. The family moved to Oak cliff when he was one year old, where he attended school and graduated from Sunset High, completing his studies through UT Arlington. He pursued a career in financial accounting and was still active in business with Tang Energy until weeks prior to his death. Herb was a strong, kind and confident man. He loved and adored his wife Vickie, and felt she was the prettiest, kindest and funniest person he’d ever met. He was very protective of her to the very end. When we say he was loved and respected by all, it is not an exaggeration. Through his love of tennis at Lakewood Country Club, to his friends through business, he was forever loyal and truly had everyone’s best interest at heart. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Lee Ruiz, and her family Cathy Lee & Mark Sims, Jonathan & Margaret Spivey, Jimmy & Kim Lee, Danielle Lee & Gilbert Gonzalez, Kris & Danielle St. Leger Lee, Kristina Lee, Phillip Lee, Amanda & Greg App, Aubrey & Conrad Madsen as well as many precious great nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to ASPCA, SPCA or any Animal Shelter of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
***To Herb, I will miss you forever. Love Vickie

Thoughts and Prayers for Vickie and family
Beautiful tribute and so true – Herb will be very missed,
Herb was a prince of a man. He was humble, soft spoken, respectful, genuinely courteous, and kind. He was a true gentleman. I remember him driving to LCC every day to feed the kitties. He was a loving husband and friend. We will miss this gentle soul! Well done good and faithful servant.
