Rutherford, Michael G.
Obituary
Michael Gregory Rutherford of Dallas, Texas passed away on February 6, 2014 at the age of 54. I never got to tell you all the accomplishments I’ve made in my life.. I never got to see the proud look on your face for those accomplishments … I never got the chance to make a relationship with you… And now I’m never ever gonna be able to say I did.. I honestly don’t even know what to think right now.. I just feel like this is a dream and it can’t be real.. It’s not fair.. All I have left of you is that one memory of when I was four and you came to see me and you brought me all kinds of toys, and till this day I remember every single toy.. My first soccer ball.. My first kite, this huge gorilla stuffed animal! I was so happy to see!! You where everything to me.. And I will always remember how you took me to the McGill playground and we played on the swing set and then I fell in the mudd so you had to clean me off with the water hose and when we got home soaking wet mom was like what happened?!!..And that night there was fireworks and I was scared so you held me till I finally fell asleep… But then the next day you were gone. I never heard from you again.. And mom says it’s Because you thought I deserved better… But I wish I could have just met you one more time to tell you that you were my everything!! I loved with all my heart!! And even though we lost our relationship! I will always love you and remember that day! There will never be a day that I don’t think about you, I love you so much daddy. One day we will finally meet in Heaven! I can’t wait.. Like we used to say, I love you bigger than the Texas sky! I miss you… Your daughter Laura Rutherford

Grew up with Mike, Guy and Laura. Were very close friends throughout High school. Amazing wit and sense of humor. A loyal friend and brother during those early years. My heart is heavy as I miss his smile and laugh.
Rest in Peace my friend.
I am sad to read about the passing of Mike. I only knew him back in Junior High School but he was a true character to say the least. His smile always filled up the room. He was loved by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to hiss family and friends. I know Mike will be missed!
