Scribner, Blanca E.
Obituary
Blanca Elena Scribner, “Mimi” left this world on August 17, 2018. Mimi is survived by her wife, Deborah Marie Mata, and furry family members Molly and Sydney. She is also survived by her Aunt Hari Nam Kaur Khalsa and her wife Amrit Kaur Khalsa of Santiago, Chile. Mimi, friend of Bill W. since September 17, 1998, is also survived by numerous family and friends in recovery from many groups in the Dallas area and beyond. Mimi has been a fine artist since coloring by numbers at age 4 years and became a fine artist of abstract oil paintings. A senior accounting student at University of Texas, Arlington, she loved classical music that she often painted to. She was proud of her Latina heritage and fulfilled her dream of traveling to Paris, France. Mimi, married to Deborah for 4 years, had a total of 15 years together with Deborah. Mimi went to God’s light countless times in her life and on August 17th, decided this is where she would remain. Mimi experienced the “opening of the door to the ethereal worlds.” Mimi’s meditations to classical music brought her daily brush-ups and experiences in the ethereal planes. Described by her spouse as being catapulted into the unconscious and in her dreams bathed in rich, blue healing waters, regular occurrences for Mimi. She overcame emotional, physical, and spiritual abuse, and shared her experience, strength, and hope in recovery with many others. This is the exact quality that drew people to Mimi’s spiritual message of hope.
Mimi returned to God’s light. May her joy remain with us all.

Rest In Peace sweet Mimi. It’s been nice knowing you. I will always appreciate your friendship and kindness to my Daughter, Leigh Ashley.
Her spiritual walk transformed so many hardships into a kaleidoscope of love, hope, & encouragement for myself, and untold others. I will always remember her subtle & brave spirit. Peace and healing to her loved ones. And Godspeed to you, beautiful Mimi – you will be missed.
May peace overcome you in God’s healing light. Your kind and loving spirit touched many lives and gave them hope. Thank you for your fellowship.
Mimi was such a precious soul. She touched my life in ways that made me feel towards her as a daughter. Am so saddened by her death.
Deborah my deepest heart felt condolences. I just found out and am devastated, you and mimi were my neighbors, always smiled, waved said hello and walked the other way when we both had our dogs out for a walk, your kindness and support to my family when my dad passed was golden, I’m only a few houses away if you need anything, it’s a great loss, God bless Mimi
