Obituary
Mark Anthony Strunc, born December 2, 1957 in Ennis, Texas passed away January 24, 2020 in Plano, Texas at the age of 62. Mark graduated from St. John High school in 1976. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a degree in Accounting. For over 20 years, he worked for Trinity Industries. Mark was a warm, funny and friendly person that gave generously to charity and was a lifelong Catholic. He loved the outdoors, especially hiking and deer hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Marie Strunc and his stepmother, JoAnn Strunc. Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved daughter, Rachel Strunc; brothers, Jim Strunc and wife Mary Anne Gentry and Gary Strunc and wife Patti; stepbrothers, Stan Mikel, Robert Mikel, and Chris Mikel; stepsisters, Joni Andrews and Teri Andrews; nephew, Randy Strunc; niece, Jessica Diaz; countless friends, family members and loved ones. A rosary will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 9:30 am Christ the King Catholic Church (8017 Preston Road, Dallas, TX) with a Mass to follow at 10am with a reception to follow. Inurnment will follow at 2:30pm at St. Joseph’s Cemetery (1500 W. Ennis Ave, Ennis, TX) with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall (850 S Interstate Highway 45 Ennis, Texas). In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in honor of Mark to the American Cancer Society.
