Temple, Robert H.
Obituary
Robert Howard Temple of Dallas died on Monday, August 5, 2019. He was born to Ronnie Temple and the late Judy Temple in Tyler, Texas on February 22, 1974. Rob grew up in East Texas, which always held a piece of his heart. Rob graduated from Lufkin High School and was a proud University of Houston Cougar. His love for the ministry of summer camp began at Camp Allen, then he served for years at Camp Cho-Yeh, where he met his wife, Shannon. After college, Rob was on staff at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church before becoming an educator. Rob is survived by his wife Shannon Lewis Temple, daughters Macy Caroline Temple, Layne Lewis Temple, and Anna Reese Temple; Cameron Rusaw; father Ronnie Temple; sister Rhonda Temple; and numerous in-laws, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rob’s friends and family will remember a man who loved the Lord, Shannon and their girls, Cho-Yeh, his Houston Cougars, and everything New Mexico and East Texas. We will remember his dedication to education, how he treasured experiences above wealth and always made us laugh. We will miss this beloved man in so many ways. The family’s firm foundation of faith in the gospel and the saving work of Jesus Christ is sustaining them.
