Obituary
Thomas Wayne Nelson, age 88 passed away at Las Brisas Rehabilitation Center on June 19th, 2022. Wayne was born on the 30th of May 1934 in Quinlan, Texas. He served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956. He lived in Dallas and Forney. Wayne met the love of his life, Ruby Charles Burk and they married on April 20th, 1962. They moved to Irving in 1964 to start a family. Wayne worked in the heavy equipment industry until retiring in 1996. He was an active member of Story Road Baptist Church. Wayne is survived by his wife Ruby Nelson of Irving, two Sons David and Terry Nelson, two Daughter-in-laws Eleonor and Rondean Nelson, and Granddaughter Grace Nelson. Family and friends are invited to attend Wayne’s Memorial Service on Friday, July 1st, 2022, at 10am at: Aria Cremation Service and Funeral Home 1820 N Belt Line Rd. Irving, TX 75061 Wayne’s Committal Service/Burial will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Friday, July 1st, 2022, at 2:30pm. Please arrive by 2:15 pm.
