Dearest family and friends, It is with tremendous sadness to inform you of the passing of our beloved husband, family and friend, Tommy Thompson. Tommy and his wife Tasha also had the opportunity to leave Dallas for a while to serve as full-time ministers of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Washington, DC. We are deeply saddened by his passing. We will greatly miss and cherish the memory of our dear Tommy. Tommy is survived by his loving wife Tasha; his mother Bessie Grandberry and her husband John; his father Clarence Thompson and his wife Annette; his brothers, Julius Thompson and his wife Porsia, Nehemiah Thompson and his wife Phoebe, John Hampton and his wife Khemetha and their children and Clarence “Peabo” Thompson, Jr. along with his sister Terri Starks and her children. With great sadness to see such a loving wonderful friend pass away too soon. He will be missed very much and I look forward to seeing him again in perfect health.
It is with great surprise and deep sadness that I received this news. I remember Tommy fondly and very well indeed. I had the privilege of attending the same congregation with him for a few years when my son was very small. I will never forget his talks, his bubbly personality and his sense of humor. This earth is a poorer place without him. My very deepest condolences to his wife and his family for their loss. He was really one of the good ones!

Dear Thompson Family…Especially Tasha,
We were so sorry to hear of Tommy’s sudden and untimely death. Our deepest and sincerest condolences go out to you. The meetings will definitely never be the same without his trademark smile, wit and humor. But at the same time, his deep love of Jehovah, the friends and study were always at the forefront. We are heart broken. May Jehovah give you the strength to carry on until the resurrection. We will all look forward to seeing his smile once again. Loving Hugs from us both.
So sorry to hear about your loss. 1 Cor 15:26
We will see him again under perfect conditions. I didn’t know him but he’s my brother.
We are sorry.
Tasha,
You probably don’t remember me but I remember you and your husband, your husband gave a talk at our Congregation and I sat in front of you all one year at the Convention. I do remember him giving talks. He was such a wonderful speaker and really made an impact on all he met! He was bubbly and you could really see and feel his love for Jehovah. He is now in the safest place, Jehovah’s memory! He is there, he has fought the fine fight! Death is truly an enemy and we can’t wait until Jehovah brings him back! In the meantime remember to stay close to Jehovah, the friends and remember to grieve, it’s ok and since death is not natural and we hurt for our loved ones it’s ok! What you don’t affirm makes you infirm! My condolences to you and your family!
We are so very sorry for your loss., but also so privileged to have know you both and loved you so much. Tommy always made us and especially our children laugh, help us in times of need , and was one of the sweetest souls Jehovah created. He will be missed, and we pour out our love and prayers for you . It will truly be a joy to see him again without pain or sorrow. May he sleep well in the memory of Jehovah and as we cry now, hopefully we will soon be jumping and gleaming with joy when we see him and our loved ones one and all rise up and joyously join us once again. May you feel all the love Jehovah gives freely through your brothers and sister who are here for you and will hold you up even if your spirit is low.. All our love and sympathy .
I had the privilege of having Tommy as one of my instructors during my first pioneer school. His love for Jehovah was evident in everything he did and his humor could light up any room. We can’t wait to laugh with him again. Tasha, be assured that Jehovah will be a God of Comfort for you until all mourning has ceased. I love you!
Sending my love and appreciation to the friends and family. My mother always kept me around great Men in the community. Many blessings
Our deepest condolences to the Thomas family. We will always remember this beautiful young brother running around working so hard for Jehovah and very energetic. Death is certainly an enemy. Until the resurrection sweet brother.
Dear Tasha, Tommy is a pillar of strength for all of us. He may rest, but still speaks from his life of complete devotion. He was poured out like a drink offering. The angels are camping all around you. Your faith makes you strong as you comfort others. You are so loved for your sterling example. Jehovah has his arms firmly around you and will never let go.
