Obituary
Douglas Allen Torda, 58, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy (Strahs); parents, Mary Jean and Steve Torda of Waynesville, N.C; Son, Allen Torda and his wife Jamie and their children Casen and Cooper of Aubrey, TX, Daughter, Laura Money and her husband Robert and their daughter Madelyn of Richardson, TX, Son, Alex and his wife, Alicia and their children Hunter, Harlee and Owen of Wylie, TX; daughter, Elena Haffner of Garland, TX; sister Claire Sorg and husband Eric and their daughter Amanda of Winter Park, Fl., brother, Mike Torda and his wife Karen of Piney Flats, TN, brother, Neil Torda and his wife Rachel and their daughter Rose of Waynesville, N.C. Doug was employed by MedSynergies, where he served as the Director of Infrastructure Services. He was a graduate of LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. Doug was dedicated and a model to his co-workers on the job of how to be a exemplary employee. Doug’s life was dedicated first to God and to his family and his stories and sense of humor will be celebrated and greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm First Presbyterian Church of Richardson 271 Walton Street, Richardson, Texas, 75081 A reception following at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to FPCR Emergency Pastoral Fund.
