My sincerest condolences regarding your dear loss of your father. I knew him well from the time your parents met mine in Dallas back in the 1950s upon our respective arrivals in Dallas. Your father was a great and wonderful man, a true friend. Again, my sincerest condolences.

I had the privilege of knowing Wim for over 17 years, having first met him in 2002. I will remember him as exceptionally mentally and physically fit, with a marvelous sense of humor and exceptionally warm and friendly disposition. The rich tapestry of experience that was his long life, lived in the Dutch East Indies (later, Indonesia), as well as the Netherlands and the United States was nothing short of remarkable. I will always remember him as a wise man filled with a wealth of experience and worldly wisdom. Goodbye my friend.
