William Hunter Clemenceau

Obituary

William Hunter Clemenceau of Dallas, TX left this world March 31, 2022, due to a sudden catastrophic illness. He was 28 years old. Hunter was born in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Egypt, Azerbaijan and Katy, TX before graduating with a degree in Finance from LSU. He leaves behind his parents George and Cielle Clemenceau, brother Anderson Clemenceau, grandmother Ouida Rellstab, uncle Martin Muller, cousin Camille Tyra, and extended family members “Aunt” Cindy and “Uncle” Dave Berkey, grand-aunts Audrey Rubis and Gladys Cramer, grand-aunt and grand-uncle Mary and Bob Hammer, and countless friends and family that loved him.   Hunter was an excellent golfer and loved Bayern Munich soccer and LSU football. He lived a large life and got to see and do so many things. He sat on the Pyramids, cruised the Nile River in a felucca, played on an undefeated soccer team while in school at Cairo American College, camped in the desert of Egypt, swam in the Red Sea, saw Windsor Castle and the Tower of London, visited Disney Paris and the Eiffel Tower, went on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania and saw lions, hippos, rhinos, and leopards, glamped near Mt. Kilimanjaro and watched the elephants roam, walked on Table Mountain and drank wine in Cape Town, South Africa, panned for gold in New Zealand, skied in the French Alps, explored castles in Austria and Germany, fished the Zambezi River and was showered by the mists of Victoria Falls, saw acrobats and the Forbidden City in Beijing, walked on the Great Wall of China twice, visited the black sand beaches of Hawaii, hiked to the top of Pike’s Peak in Colorado, toured Knights Templar castles in Spain, ran a cross-county race in the Republic of Georgia, visited Moscow and New Delhi on school trips, played rugby in Dubai, threw stones into Cloud Catcher Canyon in the Caucasus Mountains, played in mud volcanoes near Baku, ate in a caravanserai in the old city of Baku, saw the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and shopped the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, waded in the hot spring waters of Pamukkale, Turkey, and had so many other adventures.   Hunter landed his ideal job in Dallas in May 2021 as a Financial Project Manager and had a promising career ahead. He was a registered organ donor, and his generosity has helped individuals in 3 states have a chance for longer and healthier lives.   The family would like to thank the medical staff in the Neuro-ICU at Medical City Plano Hospital who worked relentlessly for days to try to save Hunter, as well as the special friends who were by his side at the hospital until we arrived. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date in Dallas.   Hunter loved dogs and, as the grandson of two World War II veterans, would want to help provide a service dog to those who served our country or to help save homeless or special-needs dogs. Donations honoring Hunter’s memory can be made to Patriot Paws (https://patriotpaws.org/donate2/) or to Best Friends Animal Society, where a fundraiser has been set up in Hunter’s memory (https://support.bestfriends.org/site/TR/PersonalFundraising/General?px=3743612&pg=personal&fr_id=1480).

What a lovely tribute to a life well lived. We have warm memories of the adventures we shared with Hunter, and join the many, many friends who are grieving his loss.
Touching the lives of others in such a positive way through organ donation is a true reflection of his heart and character.
Our thoughts, prayers and love are with Cielle, George and Anderson.

I have some of the best and greatest memories growing up as a third culture kid and Hunter was a big part of a lot of those. Our little close knit group of friends had so many adventures that I will treasure forever. Me and Hunter had a friendly rivalry between our two favorite German teams and even though Bayern Munich was a power house my little team would often beat them and we would have wonderful discussions and good natured ribbing when that happened. I never thought I would ever root for Bayern, and definitely never foresaw it would be for this reason, but a little part of me will forever have to be a Bayern supporter now. I’ll miss you, Hunter, hope you’re hitting nothing but hole-in-one’s now.

When I think of Hunter I think of grins and laughs. I remember meeting him when he and Cara were in the 3rd grade together. They bonded over being the youngest and smallest and went on to have a fast friendship until present time. So many CAC adventures, games and parties! I loved watching Hunter grow (a lot!) and mature into a fine young man. Nothing can take away the pain of losing a child but I hope the pain can be softened by all the friends who knew and loved him.

What an, adventurous, well-lived life he had! Our hearts go out to George and Cielle. We never had the pleasure of meeting Hunter; however, we knew what a special young man he was by the way Cielle and George’s face lit up every time they talked about that beautiful son of theirs.
Our deepest sympathies go out to you and all of those that he touched.

George and Family – I am very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Though I didn’t know Hunter personally, I felt that I did as George would regale me at the office with stories of him during his high school years in Texas. The world has lost a bright soul.

The whole Danielson family sends our deepest condolences to all of you. Hunter left this earth way too early, but what joyful memories he has left behind. He lived his life with such energy and exuberance. It was fun to watch him grow and entertain those around him. He was a good friend and an even better son. He will give those angels in heaven a run for their money, that’s for sure!!

George & Cielle, in my experience, one night you will go to bed and realize you spent more of your day embracing the joy Hunter brought into your lives, than the pain of his death. Not much to go on, I know. Love to you both. Steve

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
